      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  1. Northern UI Feedback

That's odd because I specifically tested that. I made a potion of Burden and I specifically chose ingredients where Burden was an apprentice level effect. That means it was a second effect. I posted a screenshot a few posts up. I tested that because my Alchemy was exactly 25 and I wanted to make sure I could create potions where the effects were apprentice level. That's why I thought it was due to the quest item. Mind you, the Slaughterfish Scales would have water breathing as the first effect, so maybe that's what triggered the bug (having both novice and apprentice level effects). Nope, Slaughterfish Scales have Water Breathing as apprentice level, so I have no idea. I'll see what I can do regarding the crash report.
  2. Northern UI Feedback

Your crash logger isn't capturing these crashes. Just happened and log not updated. Northern UI log is huge, however. I've attached it. It's way too big!
  3. Misc. Creature Resources

I’m guessing the bears were done that way so they could stand on their hind legs. Bethesda has a lot of artists, but no technical people. You look at their code and just shudder. I’ve read that the Net Immerse File format had a lot more features than what Bethesda used.
  4. Random Stuffz

Nice! We have a coin collection that I’d like to cash in. My dad liked to collect coins. His collection has some uncirculated coins, but there are a lot of circulated coins too, so they are only worth face value. Still very cool.
  5. Feedback thread

    You have impeccable timing!
  6. Feedback thread

It might have been unavailable for two minutes, but it wasn't down. I just updated a few server packages. One of them was MySQL, so that would make TAL unavailable for a couple of minutes.
  7. Random Stuffz

Are they in the original boxes? They're worth more if they're in the original packaging, preferably unopened. I don't know if you bought them to play with or as collectibles.
  8. Northern UI Feedback

Ok. When I saw that it had a backup, I thought it kept a couple. Honestly I forgot about your plugin and the crash usually happens right when I’ve just finished buttering up an NPC and had a big bartering session, of course, so I just hop right back into the game. Tsk tsk. Well here’s the wiki page on the rare ingredients, some of which are quest items if you want more testing options. Quest items have zero weight.
  9. Northern UI Feedback

I’m using your crash logger and the logs are empty! However the NUI log is full of stuff. Now I haven’t looked at your crash logs right after a crash, but it looked like they created backups so I’m surprised they are all empty. I’ll take another look when I get back to playing again. With regards to the alchemy menu, I suggest testing with any quest item, although I haven’t had any other quest ingredients yet. There are a couple throughout the course of the game.
  10. Craftybits 0.812 Bug Reports

I took the liberty of adding you, @puddles, to the CraftyBits team so you can upload to their project area.
  11. BEX Crashes

I should mention it to David so he can take a look. I forgot that I did already.
  12. BEX Crashes

Nope I’m running Win 7 and not budging. My other game instance is running fine. Don’t worry about it. I just posted this as a reminder of the work-around so I didn’t have to go searching for it again. Thanks anyway.
  13. Oblivion XP Crash on Level-up Russian 4.4.5

It sounds like it was an issue with Darnified UI. The old version of Oblivion XP had some files that the new version doesn’t have anymore, so you have to uninstall and reinstall Darnified if you aren’t using Wrye Bash to install your mods.
  14. Picking up the discussion so far: how did you install your UI? how did you install Oblivion XP? are you using any mod that's listed in the incompatibilities section of the readme? Like Dynamic Levelled Lists or weOCPS.
  15. BEX Crashes

Not using OSR. I'm pretty sure it's Northern UI. It's not just a UI. The DLL also patches MenuQue and the game code. The NUI log is full of stuff like this: Log received from endpoint 0x004A7A60: PlayGroup Error: No 3d or controllers found for '' (0C0475D3).
  16. Northern UI Feedback

You might have a memory issue of some sort. I am getting a lot of BEX crashes. Unfortunately BEX crashes are normal for Oblivion, but not this many. I have to save every time I leave an interior or load a new worldspace.
  17. BEX Crashes

I suspect it's Northern UI. These are happening way too often and I have a pretty solid load order. Northern UI is the only new addition and it has a DLL.
  18. Kitties!!

Looks like a fair trade to me...
  19. Random Stuffz

    That's not creepy at all..
  20. [RELz] Oblivion XP

Uploaded an update for Northern UI's character stats menu. No need to download if you aren't using Northern UI.
  21. Northern UI Feedback

I imagine you know this already, but the basic alchemy menu works just fine. I created a bunch of water breathing potions and finished the quest.
  22. Kitties!!

I get asked all the time how British Shorthairs are with kids. They’re good with kids, probably because they are big strong cats. They are also calm.
  23. Bethesda.net Discussion

That didn't take much. I actually tried to check out NodeBB. I couldn't even get the stupid thing installed! They didn't bundle up the package properly and I couldn't convince them files were missing. The documentation was even crappier than IPS!
  24. Bethesda.net Discussion

I’m guessing they tried to do an upgrade. I noticed earlier that they’ve got a bunch of new forums, so it might be just a load issue. There were a ton of posts in Fallout 76. Ironically I just finished creating a markdown clip library for Textpad. I used it to create a release thread for Ob XP. I’ll post it once we finalize the next release.
