      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  1. Oblivion - Steam version

Yes, that’s normal. I don’t know why Arthmoor doesn’t explicitly say it. I told him that it doesn’t work if you build a python bashed patch and he said “of course it doesn’t”. You may not see the delayers plugin in the merge list. If you click on the plugin in WB after you build your patch, it will say “Merged into bashed patch” at the bottom of the WB window. It will also say some masters are missing if you don’t have all the DLC’s installed. If you look at the bash tags for the delayers plugin you’ll see that they’re set to deactivate and filter, so the plugin definitely has to be merged.
  2. Oblivion - Steam version

You have to use CBash to build your bashed patch when you use Arthmoor's DLC Delayers. It's a filter mod, so it has to be merged into the bashed patch and only CBash can do that. The python version (of the bashed patch) can't. I'm only using a couple of the DLC's and it works fine.
  3. [RELz] Oblivion XP

Did you install WB from scratch? I had some issues and I was told to grab a newer version from Github. That worked for me. I’m not at my game PC so I can’t say exactly which version I’m running.
  4. [RELz] Oblivion XP

You’ll have to ask the Wrye Bash guys about this. The BAIN wizard hasn’t changed and the errors you’re getting are Wrye Bash errors.
  5. Kitties!!

Time for some kitten cuteness. This is Darwin, the dad, meeting his kittens for the first time: The kittens were only 13 days old in that picture. Their eyes had just opened a couple of days earlier. Mom, Curie, is behind them.
  6. Family

    From the album Kitty Stuff

    Darwin meeting his brood.
  7. Oblivion - Steam version

    AoG?
  8. Oblivion - Steam version

I actually don’t recommend Kuertee Cleanup. It’s too aggressive and can cause problems with quest mods. It removes bodies that shouldn’t be removed. I really doubt you’ll have a problem with saved game bloat. I haven’t had that problem in literally years. I bet EngineBugFixes has some fixes for that too!
  9. Oblivion - Steam version

We figured out how to make it compatible. The instructions are in the Ob XP readme.
  10. Oblivion - Steam version

The BOSS exe isn’t being supported any more, but it works ok except the before and after clauses in the user rules are backwards. It’s not a bit deal. The new mod since you’ve played last would be EngineBugFixes and that’s a must as far as I’m concerned. You can even configure it to omit some fixes, but I’ve always used it as-is.
  11. Oblivion - Steam version

BOSS is still the one to use for Oblivion. Mhahn continues to update the master list. TES4Edit is being updated again and Elminster just released an update a couple of days ago.
  12. Random Stuffz

Jimi was re-admitted to hospital last week due to an infection. He was released today and we celebrated by ordering in dinner. He had a chili dog. I can’t think of a better way to recover from hospital food!
  13. messed map(missing both textures and messes)

Leo, please don’t direct people to the wayback machine. TESCOSI was moved here, as you know. If the links don’t work, then fix them! It’s a community wiki.
  14. messed map(missing both textures and messes)

Have you done archive invalidation in Wrye Bash? That looks like missing meshes and you need to do archive invalidation to fix it. Have a look at archive invalidation in TESCOSI for an explanation.
  15. Oblivion Crash on Load

It means that the setting is a multiplier, so x1 is a multiplier of 1. TESCOSI might have all these settings documented. Another option is the UESP.
  16. Did you check the wiki as I suggested above? It has several modding guides, not just the one Leo linked. I also uploaded some guides to Downloads - Morrowind - Miscellaneous, I believe.
  17. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

    Ah, gotcha.
  18. Have you looked at the Morrowind Modding Wiki? Click on the Wikis link at the top of the forums and then click on the Morrowind Modding Wiki link in the list.
  19. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

I didn't know there were two different issues. We have done the worldspace move thing with Black Marsh so the LOD will load properly. Once I split Black Marsh into an ESM and ESP, we won't be editing any other worldspace than our own. The Oblivion edits will be in the ESP.
  20. Oblivion Reloaded Compatibility Questions

Read the compatibility section in Oblivion XP's readme. This is why you shouldn't resurrect old threads.
  21. This topic was split off from the original topic about not playing Knights of the Nine. The OP asked about Oblivion Reloaded's compatibility with other mods. Re. Oblivion Reloaded: It will break Oblivion XP though, so you'll need to remove Ob XP if you want to use it. There are some ini settings with regard to levelling and sleeping that you can try disabling, but you might have to ask on the OR forums what those are. If you find them and disable them, then Ob XP should work. If you do get it working, I'd love to know what the ini settings are and I will include that info the Ob XP documentation.
  22. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

And then all you need to do is to move the worldspace with TES4Gecko. That’s makes them load order independent.
  23. Oblivion Crash on Load

Did you check the compatibility section in the Ob XP readme? Also check the FAQ at the top of the Nexus comments. Also don’t use auto saves. They get corrupted very easily. You should disable them.
  24. Oblivion Crash on Load

As Vorians said. Furthermore, I’m not sure the OP installed everything with WB anyway.
