      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  1. messed map(missing both textures and messes)

Have you done archive invalidation in Wrye Bash? That looks like missing meshes and you need to do archive invalidation to fix it. Have a look at archive invalidation in TESCOSI for an explanation.
  2. Oblivion Crash on Load

It means that the setting is a multiplier, so x1 is a multiplier of 1. TESCOSI might have all these settings documented. Another option is the UESP.
  3. Did you check the wiki as I suggested above? It has several modding guides, not just the one Leo linked. I also uploaded some guides to Downloads - Morrowind - Miscellaneous, I believe.
  4. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

    Ah, gotcha.
  5. Have you looked at the Morrowind Modding Wiki? Click on the Wikis link at the top of the forums and then click on the Morrowind Modding Wiki link in the list.
  6. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

I didn't know there were two different issues. We have done the worldspace move thing with Black Marsh so the LOD will load properly. Once I split Black Marsh into an ESM and ESP, we won't be editing any other worldspace than our own. The Oblivion edits will be in the ESP.
  7. Oblivion Reloaded Compatibility Questions

Read the compatibility section in Oblivion XP's readme. This is why you shouldn't resurrect old threads.
  8. This topic was split off from the original topic about not playing Knights of the Nine. The OP asked about Oblivion Reloaded's compatibility with other mods. Re. Oblivion Reloaded: It will break Oblivion XP though, so you'll need to remove Ob XP if you want to use it. There are some ini settings with regard to levelling and sleeping that you can try disabling, but you might have to ask on the OR forums what those are. If you find them and disable them, then Ob XP should work. If you do get it working, I'd love to know what the ini settings are and I will include that info the Ob XP documentation.
  9. EngineBugFixes and multiple worldspace mods

And then all you need to do is to move the worldspace with TES4Gecko. That’s makes them load order independent.
  10. Oblivion Crash on Load

Did you check the compatibility section in the Ob XP readme? Also check the FAQ at the top of the Nexus comments. Also don’t use auto saves. They get corrupted very easily. You should disable them.
  11. Oblivion Crash on Load

As Vorians said. Furthermore, I’m not sure the OP installed everything with WB anyway.
  12. Oblivion Crash on Load

@Terrorix, follow Vorians’ suggestion. You need to focus on finding the mod or combination of mods that is causing your problem. You could try the abomb fix, but that usually happens only after a long period of game play. Wrye Bash will tell you if you need to use the abomb fix when you try to run it.
  13. Feedback thread

I have a ton on my plate right now, as you know from my status updates. I’ll get back to evaluating replacement forum software when things quiet down. I continue to look after the server and make sure it’s up to date. The forums are running and we have anti-spam software in place, so while the current forum software has some annoying bugs, it’s functional and secure.
  14. Oblivion Crash on Load

I already sent you the link to the installation guide in TESCOSI. Tomlong has a full list of the installation order of mods.
  15. Oblivion Crash on Load

I have no idea. I don't have any of the problems you listed.
  16. Oblivion Crash on Load

That might be something fixed by EngineBugFixes. If you aren't using that, I recommend you do so.
  17. Feedback thread

At this point, I don't know how to fix the busted mess that's IPS. I'll take a look, but just ignore it if I can't get rid of it.
  18. Feedback thread

I have no idea. What happens when you click on it?
  19. Oblivion Crash on Load

Hi @Terrorix, I moved this to a new post since it's not really Oblivion XP related. Since you uninstalled BTMod, you'll have to also uninstall Oblivion XP and anneal your Dark UI BAIN. Then install Oblivion XP again.
  20. Jimi is back home. Thanks for the hugs everyone. :hugs:

Good.  I'll look for your response in the other status post.

  21. I need some hugs. My husband, Jimi, is in hospital with cancer. The doctors were optimistic, but his first chemo treatment didn’t go as well as we hoped. We really need to get a proper update from his doctors.

Understood.  He would lose a large section of his liver, wouldn't he?  If they removed the tumor?

    2. AndalayBay

      AndalayBay

It would kill him. He wouldn’t have enough liver left so they have to reduce the size of the tumour and get the good part of his liver to grow so it can handle the load once the tumour is removed.

Oh, oh.  I'm sorry for you guys.  My grandmother died from cancer (colon) and watching her waste away was hard.  I hope you don't have to go through the same.

  22. Installation Questions

You’re welcome! Wrye Bash also has the benefit of reinstalling files automatically (with the Anneal function) if you uninstall a mod that overrode the files of another mod. For example, if you uninstall Oblivion XP, Wrye Bash will restore the original files for your UI. Just note that installation order is just as important as load order. TESCOSI explains all that. You’ll also want to use BOSS to sort your load order for Oblivion. LOOT is good for Skyrim, but it doesn’t work so well for Oblivion.
  23. The most Restless Night of Sleep Ever!

I set the sleep time to six hours in Bruma's Mages Guild to wait for an NPC as it was 2:00 am and the sod was in bed. Two hours went by when I saw the back-end of an NPC walking out the door. I chased after him to discover it was the Countess' steward giving me the Lifting the Vale quest at 4 am. I think this is a bug for the UOP. Not for the fact that he gave me the quest, but that he woke me and took off without saying anything. I had to chase him and initiate dialogue to get the quest. He should have woken me and talked to me right away. Then I went back to sleep, only to be woken two hours later by a Thieves Guild member delivering a note with an option to join. Lovely. Back to bed for my last two hours of sleep! Kind of reminds me of real life actually...
  24. Installation Questions

TMM isn't supported because it doesn't work. I tried, but it does nothing. Wrye Bash is the preferred mod manager and is the best one available. You can also install Darnified with Wrye Bash. I have a Darnified BAIN here that comes with a wizard. You'll probably need a Bashed Patch to get all your mods working together, so you'll need to install Wrye Bash anyway. Darnified BAIN Installing Wrye Bash If you're new to modding, I also recommend checking out TESCOSI.
  25. [RELz] DarNified UI BAIN

DarNified UI BAIN View File This is my BAIN package with a wizard script for DarNified UI. You can install manually or use the wizard. See the DarNified BAIN readme file in the package (Core/Docs) for details. The readme has the links for Trollf's loading screens. The loading screens themselves are not included in the package.
