      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  3. The forest fires are mostly contained here in Colorado, though it's basically DOOM out in California. We're down to only moderate fire danger here and back to a stage 1 fire ban, thanks to the monsoon season.

Thank you! She's currently ahead of her brothers in that she's only spit up on me once. ...I still haven't slept.

So I've been away for a few weeks. Want to know why? Because I have a new niece, that's why! One of her big brothers holding her: The former youngest protesting by putting his beloved Bear into her swing: And one of her cousins getting to hold her ("THHHHHPT!"): I have been awake for a month and a half save me

  8. "Because of the strong smell, surströmming is ordinarily eaten outdoors. The pressurized can is usually opened some distance away from the dining table, and is often initially punctured while immersed in a bucket of water, which prevents brine from spraying onto clothes and traps most of the smell." O.O NOPE nopenopenope NOPE AIGH

Here's hoping it's not another incel...despite the fact that the incels are already cheering him on for killing a little girl.
  10. I'm fine with all that except that fermented fish thing. That makes me nervous.
  11. Can I move to Sweden? We're about the same temperature, but at least you don't have 100k acre fires! ...sorry, I don't mean to make fun. Wildfires are terrifying.

  14. Of the many bad ways to be woken up, I think spider bite to the neck is among the worst. At least, I think that's what it was. It was large and had a lot of legs and bit me before I threw it across the room.

    Owwww...

      ...damn house crickets.  *snarl*

We had a spider that hung out behind the kitchen sink for a couple years, and we put up a platter to protect her.  Her name was Charlotte,  the platter was her pantry door, she was an orb weaver, and she ate EVERYTHING.

Again, we came to an agreement with the giant spider.  We didn't touch her pantry door, and she ate all the bugs that might bite or sting us.
