      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

Oh, I found the link to Slof's Hive in one of many bookmarks I had collected over the years and I thought that link was gone. https://web.archive.org/web/20110717162121/http://www.slofslair.co.uk/index.php There are more snapshots via the Wayback Machine.

I can tell you why she did that, because previous Slof had her mods hosted on Wolflore (after her host in the UK had a fire and her website become defunct IIRC) and it's hosted on the same server as GHF. Note, Slof's mod collection is adult rated and therefore it's required to be logged in on Wolflore and be part of a specific usergroup, I think, that has permission to access the hosted adult rated mods. Of course there is another reason why one needs to be logged in, because Wolflore also host every adult rated mods that previous were uploaded to MMH. Which got a major server issue due to a server migration that didn't finished properly in late October 2017 and only recently Fliggerty fixed the most part of the server issue. Also, Stuporstar did the same thing as Slof did to host her mods elsewhere.

I think Schtearn's advice is good, so post the script and see if someone can give you a clue about what's wrong with the script. Of course if that doesn't help then why not toss out the script and start over.

But you are content, aren't you? Sadly no. I haven't played OpenMW, but I did downloaded it years ago. If you want to know what other people thinks of OpenMW then you might need to join their forum.

I dare to say that the Morrowind Modding Wiki is not up to date and is in need of someone or a couple of people who are intrested to update the Morrowind Modding Wiki. A lot of things have happen since it got started and at the same time a lot of information become outdated.

I think MGE or MGE-XE should work without a problem. https://bethesda.net/community/topic/51653/mge-xe-graphics-extender-release-and-support-thread https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41102 I dunno about OpenMW though since I don't use it myself. If I were you I would visit the OpenMW forum and ask the people there.

IIRC, the EULA allow the end user to archive the original game as a backup.

I have no idea since I haven't begin installing mods and I installed Oblivion last night. I've read something about that and I think VM knew what one needed to do. Maybe Arthmoor know. I don't have the GOG version, I have the retail version. Unless you mean it is the same thing.

That's exactly what I'm gonna to do right now. Because earlier today I bought Oblivion Deluxe Edition on Steam for 9.99€, which was cheaper than I thought it would be during the Luna New Year Sale on Steam and that will close Monday the 11th 19:00 PM.
  10. [NTW] - EasyEsf for NTW

Broken links fixed in the OP. Sorry about that. @Xenophon06In order to install EasyEsf for NTW properly you need to follow the instructions to the letter and that's like this. 1. Install EasyEsfSuite for ETW and I think that also includes installation of Jruby 2. Install the update 1.1 (ee_etw_11_ntw_10.exe after the EasyEsf for ETW installation is completed) Note, I may have forgot a thing or two, because I don't remember when I installed EasyEsf for NTW the last time. Probably a couple years ago.
  11. [NTW] - EasyEsf for NTW

The OP has everything you need to know, including Jruby, about how to install EasyEsf for NTW.

Did you installed the 1.1 update?

    I see. I didn't know that.
