      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  1. Bethesda.net Discussion

You do need to use the Bethesda.net launcher before uploading a mod to Bethesda.net and the reason for that is at least what I think it is. Is that your Steam account is linked to your registered account at Bethesda.net, which all registered members must have in order to download and install mods via the in-game mod manager and those who are playing Skyrim on the console cannot use mods from Bethesda.net without linking a valid Steam account to the account one have on Bethesda.net.
  2. Bethesda.net Discussion

I agree with Arthmoor, I too find the Bethesda.net Launcher convenient when using the CK as I don't have to run the Bethesda.net Launcher every time I want to open a mod in the CK in comparison to the CK for SLE.
  3. Bethesda.net Discussion

Agreed. Which makes me really sad, because when I visit the old forum just to read a thread or two all good memories I got from there for the last 7 years comes back to me and I miss the old forum very much. And that is really depressing.
  4. Collecting useful information from Bethesda's old forum

I know about leaving the old forum in the read-only mode, but as I recall it Gstaff mention that the forum will be accessible for another two years after they closed the forum. Sadly, no I haven't.
  5. Most people know that Bethesda are soon going to close their old forum, because the 17th of April is when IPS 3 officialy ends and they launched Bethesda.net 2015. There is also a lot of useful information posted there in which Yacoby had preserved a lot of stuff in the past via his ES Forum Archive site. Unfortunely, it seems Yacoby has abandoned the ES Forum Archive site and I tried to load the site the other day, but Firefox warned me about it isn't safe to browse and I didn't want to jeopardise my security. So that's why I start this thread just to collection useful posts from Bethesda's old forum. If you find a post(s) that has useful information then post it in this thread or send me a PM with a link to the original post. Bethesda have used IPS 3 for 7 years now and TAL are also using IPS 3 and will continue using IPS. Below is Gluby's huge lists of bugs and patches listed and I repost it just after I started the UMP project July-Aug 2014. Originally posted by Gluby Always include the original poster and a link to the original post above the original post just as I did.
  6. GHF is back, but MMH is down!

You no longer need to wait and now can anyone download a mod on MMH. http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=101295#p101295
  7. GHF is back, but MMH is down!

Yesterday, I notice that Fliggerty did something and after a while there was an error message present at the bottom in the MMH subforum. Today, GHF is back to nomal, but MMH is down and I think that has to do with what Fliggerty did yesterday. Or maybe it has to do with Mod History 2.0, but the time will tell I suppose.
  8. Collecting useful information from Bethesda's old forum

I just want to remind all people that now is it 1-2 years before the old BSF enters the closest Oblivion portal and become a defunct site, so once that happen we need to rely on the Wayback Machine.
  9. GHF is back, but MMH is down!

I haven't tried yet, but I know those issues will eventually be fixed and until that happens we need to wait as Fliggerty is a busy man with both family and work.
  10. GHF is back, but MMH is down!

MMH is back and ready to serve modders and mod users of Morrowind. One need to clear the cookies in the browser and doing that should work.
  11. [WIPz] Unofficial Morrowind Patch

Well, I started this project, but I left almost 3 years ago. I suppose, Anda would know who is a team member at least Skrawafunda is still active I think.
  12. (Discussion) Are Open Cities practical for Province mods?

I am glad you did that. I enjoy it in every game I started for both Oblivion and Skyrim (SLE and SSE).
  13. [RELz] DarkUI'd DarN BAIN

    Nice addition, Anda.
  14. [NSFW] Favorite Music #2

Today, I found a compilation of Swedish Power Metal bands on YouTube. There is couple of bands I hadn't heard of before or even know those bands existed.
  15. [NSFW] Favorite Music #2

The previous thread is here. Feel free to post your favorite music video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzk9zpnOJvM
  16. [RELz] Oblivion XP WIP

A quick question. Is Better Cities supported in Oblivion XP?
  17. Updates and Announcements - May 2017

Sometimes one need to pick the best of open source, both forum and CMS package, and that will save you money, but it requires a lot of work aside from learning its interface and one download package that's free is Joomla. Which a lot of websites is based on and YouTube has a bunch of tutorial videos about Joomla.
  18. Feedback thread

Mozilla does that to and here is a thread about that on TWC.
  19. Feedback thread

Feel free to rename the topic or merge it with other active threads. I notice that members total posts are not shown in the pop up profile when having the mouse on their usernames in both posts and in the online line in the bottom. There is also a minor request to change the text colour for registered members from red to to let say yellow or perhaps to something that fits the mobile theme a little better than yellow.
  20. [RELz] Oblivion XP WIP

Final version, that's sad news. Nah, just kidding. Thanks for the update, Anda.
  21. OBSE not detected

Yep, that's the most common problem for anyone. Even I made that kind of a mistake with a OBSE mod in the past.
  22. Testers Needed!

If that doesn't help then look at the mini tab in BAIN for conflicts vs missing files. Also, try to click on the install missing files or install last and one can even manually move around the archives in BAIN and sometimes it works. I've tried that in Wrye Mash and it works.
  23. Dark Creations is Shutting Down?

I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner, considering how messy the forum became over the years.
  24. Northern UI Compatibility

I know since there is a to Virus Total link at the bottom in the description.
  25. Northern UI Compatibility

However, when I visit the Nortern UI mod page I notice there is a remark for the virus scan on Nexus and it says this. Does anyone know what that means, it's obvious that some files were manually verified?
