      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

  1. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

There is another reason why defragging a HDD is important and that's cross-linked files.
  2. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

I have been thinking to get myself a M.2 SSD and replace the 120 Gb Kingston SSD I previously used. Which are now too small and for the last 2-3 years that SSD always had about 10 Gb left and that's not good. About 2 years ago I visit my local computer store and they showed me a "How to install a M.2 SSD" video, but now I couldn't find that video so I guess this video will due. Note that this video are not for my motherboard and I've a ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer motherboard, but the installation is pretty much the same as I recall it when watching the other video a few years ago. However, I won't buy a M.2 SSD 240 Gb and I think using that will also be too full in no time, instead I figure that a M.2 SSD of 480 Gb is a lot better than the current SSD I have today. But most larger M.2 SSD aren't cheap. Any advice?
  3. I just wanted to let you guys know that I am okay, but this Monday morning I was feeling ill (I almost throw up) due to the extreme heat and right now (it is 03:05 AM local time) the thermometer shows +20 degrees Celsius. https://www.smhi.se/en/weather/sweden-weather/warnings#ws=wpt-a,proxy=wpt-a,district=023,page=wpt-warning-alla (Österlen is the Eastern part of the county Skåne) Which means in wheather terms it is a tropical night and July 2018 is hottiest July for over 260 years! https://www.smhi.se/en/research/research-news/heatwave-in-may-2018-it-was-unusually-warm-exceptional-even-1.137300 Sweden also have major wildfires on several locations at the moment. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/07/18/europe/sweden-wildfires-intl/index.html
  4. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

I thought so. Thanks for the information.
  5. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

I know one shouldn't use Defrag on a SSD due for damaging the SSD, but how is it with a M.2. Is that the same as for a SSD?
  6. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

Not really asking, instead I wanted to know what experience you guys had when using a M.2 SSD in comparison to a SSD.
  7. I consider of getting a M.2 SSD

Why I won't buy a M.2 240 Gb SSD is because I often play ETW or NTW and the gamesaves for those games fill up free diskspace pretty fast. 1st gamesave for ETW is 55-60 Mb (not compressed) 1st gamesave for NTW is about 30 Mb (compressed)

    Here you go. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77868/
  9. FINALLY!!! It is RAINING and after a minute or two I heard thunder, which lasted for 30-45 minutes and still it's raining. This famous video clip comes to mind, just to describe how awesome it feels right now.
  10. [WIPz] Unofficial Morrowind Patch

I assume you mean after replacing the current forum software.
  11. [WIPz] Unofficial Morrowind Patch

    Is this project dead?
  12. Windows API and Programming Questions

Fresh Devices has a library of useful programs and tools. Try it. Even searching on Sourceforge might help too.
  13. Feedback thread

    Thanks for fixing it.
  14. Feedback thread

Feel free to rename the topic or merge it with other active threads. I notice that members total posts are not shown in the pop up profile when having the mouse on their usernames in both posts and in the online line in the bottom. There is also a minor request to change the text colour for registered members from red to to let say yellow or perhaps to something that fits the mobile theme a little better than yellow.
  15. Feedback thread

Thanks, Malonn. IIRC, Before the forum upgrade there was a link at the top under the "The Assimilation Lab" menu for TESCosi, but now there is no link nor is there a link to the "Morrowind Modding" wiki either.
  16. Feedback thread

Where is the link to TESCosi, I can't find it or is TESCosi gone?
  17. Updates and Announcements - May 2017

In case you didn't know, but Fliggerty are using multi login on GHF. Which means that anyone who is logged in will also be logged in on MMH, GHF-DL, THoS (now defunct) and TESFeed I think. Also, Fliggerty is a PHP programmer and he once offer people to build a site. Although, I am not sure if he still offers that these days, but if I were you I would ask Fliggerty about how to set up multi login for both the AFK forum and the AFK Bug Tracker.
  18. Updates and Announcements - May 2017

Just curious. Are you going to get rid of everything that aren't needed, just to increase the performance of the server?
  19. Good news for a change. Later today, we in Southern Sweden are going to get more cooler wheather with rain, not much though, and thunder. I do hope that this time the air is totally cleared up, I mean anyone wants to sleep without using a AC.
  20. No, don't I have a ceiling fan. But I do have a portable fan (+15 years old) and that's better than nothing I guess.
  21. Now you know why I can't stand the smell. Anyway, back to topic. Today is it a little cooler and around half past eight this evening I felt a cool breeze from the balcony, so I went out there and soon I felt cool wind that was really refresing. Just before I login here I checked the thermometer and it had dropped from 28-29 degrees Celius (was the temperature the whole day) to 25 degrees Celsius and now it feels much cooler, but I doubt I can get much sleep this night as I hadn't got the previous two nights in a row.
  22. Regarding the fermented fish, I tell can you one thing and that's the smell this fish has. Which most people like to eat and the event are soon to happen in late July or in early August I think. I don't stand that smell.
  23. Thanks for your concern. We in Sweden are lucky since nobody have died due to the wildfires, not that I am aware of. Several weeks? Man, in Sweden we've had the heat for about 3 months now and still there is no cooler wheather in sight. The other day a spokeman for MSB said to the news that they have already given up to one or two wildfires and now only focus to restrict the wildfire not to spread any further. There are several villages that have been evacuated. Of course you can, but one should read this before visiting Sweden the first time. Excuse me? We do have air conditioners, it is just no one can buy a AC right now due for already being sold out. In fact, every mall has a AC and there are some stores that has iceboxes, because anyone I know of likes ice cream.
  24. Confusing issues, need help.

Open the Morrowind\Mopy\mash_default.ini file in Notepad and copy everything, but don't change anything. Then paste it in your post. I suspect the mash_default.ini is empty about the installation path for Morrowind.
