      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

I like Dracula movies; Bram Stoker's Dracula from Francis Ford Coppola being my favorite that I've seen. Admittedly, I haven't seen any of the old stuff like Nosferatu. Wait! I have Untold on my backup HDD. Grand! Which means I've seen it, but don't recall seeing it.
  2. Missing .ini files(?)

Aside from pure mesh and texture replacers (mods with nothing but the "meshes" and "textures" folders), you should take installing slow. Install one or two mods, launch the game, load a save. After 7 or 8 mods, play for a couple minutes. This will help to isolate any issues as they happen. Once you get familiar with a set load order (one that hasn't changed much) then you can install 100 mods at a time and load up the game. A load order you know is stable should be stable through game installs. If you've added tons of mods, take it slow, man. A side effect of a more tedious approach is the build up of anticipation--once you get your order under control you won't be able to wait to play.

Dracula Untold is, Schtearn? I may have to watch it then.
  4. Missing .ini files(?)

I have to go to work, but check your PM. All I can say is that you have them installed wrong. I'll check back tonight.
  5. Missing .ini files(?)

I responded in the PM you sent. You're INI's are not where they should be. "<path to Oblivion.exe>\Data\Ini" is where they should be. Oblivion XP may need them in the "\Data\" folder--I'm not sure as I rarely run that mod and am not familiar with it.
  6. BEX Crashes

k6-X? What the hell is that. A quick Google search turned up phone stuff... and a workout machine.
  7. Star Trek - Discussion

The actors were being greedy? So, they are not going to make any more then? If so, it's a shame--they were better than some of the originals, IMHO.
  8. Steam - Discussion

    Google the problem?
  9. Infinite Monkey Playground and Software Thread

Good find, Schtearn. I won't be writing a graphics extender any time soon, but there's good info there.
  10. 4Gb Patch

It does help a heavily modded Oblivion game. Oblivion will consistently crash once it uses over 2GB without the patch--I've seen a video of it. As far as how to use it: just apply the patch to the exe.
  11. Cuz hardcore roleplayers don't allow you to down 5 potions during a sword swing by a goblin in order to bring your health back up to survive.
  12. Misc. Creature Resources

Oh. Forgive me, I meant no offense. Most questions like this come from the more noobish modders. I wasn't aware you are more seasoned than that.
  13. Sexism in Comics

Neat. I like Jack Kirby too.
  14. Misc. Creature Resources

Is permission given to release would be the first thing. If not, get permission.
  15. Sexism in Comics

This implies you are a comic fan, @Schtearn; is that accurate? If so, did you ever collect Marvel comics?
  16. What are you listening to right now?

No links, Schtearn, sorry. Let's just say you'll need a Torrent app. I like qBittorrent.
  17. Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access

Offline again? What happened this time?
  18. Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access

Wait, wait, ..."in it with"... that can't be proper grammar. It threw me reading it. But, thanks for the response. I will skip it in favor of Fallout 4 (which I have installed and actively play). I still may give Blades a go--hey, it's free, right.
  19. Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access

Fallout Shelter? I'm not familiar with that, and I like to fancy myself as being familiar with the Fallout series. Google time.
  20. What are you listening to right now?

Recently I have been listening to some Wu-Tang clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Foreigner, Blur, Tupac and a dash of Method Man. Kind of mixing and mashing different songs together--most of it being from the rap / hip hop genre. Too much to YouTube link here. I recently "acquired" a few discographies from various artists so will probably change my tunes soon.
  21. [RELz] Oblivion XP

MOO is highly configurable. Check the INI's included with it. You'll probably be able to do what you want.
  22. What are you listening to right now?

G'day mate. (I wrote that in an Austalian accent)
  23. Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access

Solitaire eh? Sounds neat. You say you'd rather not say too much about it, so I'll save questions for the thread. One quick one though: how long have you been working on it? Spare time thing, or do you make time?
  24. Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access

I think most of Bethesda's games are quite successful, dating back to Arena. Redguard was a bomb, I believe. You're working on a mobile game, AB? You and your husband? What's it about? Yes. But it should be about a balance of quality content and money, IMO. Not speaking of Bethesda specifically here--I love most of their games. It seems company's rush their games to meet deadlines (which tie in to profit) and skimp on quality. Release and patch. But the patches sometimes seemed less polished than to take their time from the get-go and polish before release. Blizzard did it with Diablo III; it took forever to release that game.
