      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

      I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

Oblivon XP Version 4.3.2 error in script

Hello, 

as said at nexus, OXP is an essential mod and thank you guys for keeping it up date. 

Ive run into an issue with an fresh game save and Oblivon XP Version 4.3.2. The problem can found here (using alternative start):  http://i.imgur.com/Q39fZOi.jpg 

I do use the latest OBSE (v.21), MenuQue and have the recently updated unoffcial patches.
My load order (sorted by the latest BOSS masterfile): 
 
Anyone konw what has happend?

edit: Ive also tried to start the game without any alternative starting mods and with the Alternative beginnings with the same issue.

Try to remove this mod before starting a new game to see if that helps and if that mod fix it then it's incompatible with the OblivionXP mod.

If I were you I would replace the Alternative Start by Robert Evrae mod with Arthmoor's Alternate Beginnings mod and I'm using it myself along with OblivionXP without any issues.

 

It's perfectly safe to remove these mods since there is already an option for both mods in the bashed patch when you rebuild it and that will save you two slots for another mods.

Hi! Welcome to TAL. As Leo suggested, Arthmoor's Alternative Beginnings is a better option these days. I would also remove Storms & Sounds - that has issues and I'm not sure how well it works with the newer versions of OBSE.

 

I would also remove the super hotkeys and use TNO's version. Could you post your load order here when you make those changes, if you're still having problems? It will be easier to read in the forums. You just need to copy and post all the text from the Wrye Bash window - it includes the BB tags for you.

 

The problem with the error you are  getting is that it's not Oblivion XP that's causing it. It's another mod in your load order that causing OBSE to freeze, so when Oblivion XP comes along, it can't run its scripts. That's why I'm asking you to change some mods. I know they work with the new version of OBSE. I suspect Storms & Sounds is the culprit.

The issue is still there while Ive followed your suggestions, I couldnt find the tweak for the Door fix so I kept it. Here is the current load order (all mods cleaned according to BOSS). Ivent done any changes in the oblivion.ini except added some more distant trees and enabled speedtree.

What is CRTRenewed? Also I'm not sure if you're supposed to use the Kvatch Intact version of Alternative Beginnings with KR 3. KR 3 has Kvatch intact at the start of the game, so you don't need Arthmoor's version, as far as I know.

 

Could you install Conscribe? Then load your game again and exit. Go to the Conscribe Logs folder, copy the contents of Static Log.log and paste them into a post here. Thanks.

CRT is from the mod Cloud Ruler Temple Alive found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42929/? (it did need some cleaning).

Really? Ok, that gives me an idea. Let me look into it further. I was going to look up the error message you posted and now I have an idea of what's going on.

 

The issue is that AFK_weye has an initialization quest with multiple stages, so the general quest reward script would award points, and I have some code to exclude AFK_weye from that processing. I have tried testing it, but couldn't get the code to execute.

 

Had you actually started the quests in AFK_weye, or was it just active in your game? I had it active, but didn't start any of the quests. I didn't try to enter any of the buildings either. Basically I'd like to know what you did to get the initialization quest to proceed.

 

So let me look at the code. Could you go back to your saved game in which you had AFK_weye active (and have it active again if you've disabled it) and open the console and type in this command:

 

sqv afkWeyeInit

 

That will print a bunch of stuff to the console, which will get logged to your Conscribe log. Then please post the contents of the Static Log.log.

 

I think you have uncovered a bug. This is something I couldn't test adequately, so I'd like your help in tracking it down. Thanks!

Its a fresh installation so Ive not yet begun to play the game. The error logs is now shown when Ive done the Alternate Beginnings, with AFK_weye once again enable, and enter the world space (or any interior)

Thats a shame. Ive now uninstall it, didnt get the error.

Thanks! I'll need you to install it again, for a start. :D

 

Then open Oblivion XP.esp in the CS. You need to load the CS with OBSE, so create a shortcut on your desktop with the target:

 

D:\Games\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe -editor

 

where D:\Games\Oblivion is the path to your Oblivion game installation. I'm assuming that you have the CS installed.

 

Once Oblivion XP is loaded, open the script editor and load the script called ObXPfnOnQuestComplete. Scroll down to the line that says:

 

 

        ;Scribe "Quest: %i %n Index: %.0f|OblivionXP" quest quest index

 

Remove the semi-colon from the front of that line. Save the script. Save Oblivion XP.esp and exit the CS.

 

Now go into the Oblivion XP Settings.ini file and set the debug variable to 1:

 

 

Set ObXPMain.debugMode to 1

 

That's the last line in the ini file. Then load your game and verify you still get the error. Then exit.

 

This time in addition to the Static Log.log file, there should be an Oblivion XP.log file in the Per-Mod folder under Conscribe Logs. Please copy and paste the contents of both logs to the forums.

That doesn't mean the AFK_weye mod has a conflict, in fact it could be any mod especially OBSE mods.  Do you use other OBSE mods than the required OBSE mod(s) e.g MenuQue?

It's ok, Leo, I know what the problem is. I just need to track down the mod that's causing the issue, which Kongha will be able to tell me if he can do the testing I've asked him to do.

 

I know the problem isn't AFK_weye and Alternative Beginnings in themselves, but it might be one of those mods in combination with other things. As I said, I'll have a pretty good idea what is going on once I get the logs from Kongha. I have run both mods in my testing and didn't have any problems, so it's something else that's triggering the condition.

I need you to preserve your load order if you can. Although you're still getting the error, which is good. Could you grab the contents of the Oblivion XP.log from the per-Mod folder in the Conscribe Logs folder? The log should still be there.

I find this thread to be the best place to post my "not level up when clicking on Click to level up" issue I got in my current game.

 

I would also like to say that I didn't get the same issue shown in this posted video when installing OblivionXP after I've had level up to level 2, but despite that OblivionXP *forced* me to level up to level 2 once the initialization of OblivionXP had finished.

 

Now, when I want to level up to level 3 by clicking on "Click to level up" nothing happen, absolutely nothing, and here is my loadorder.  So what's wrong and all mods I use are cleaned.

I tried that and it worked, but after I slept I cannot level up by clicking the "Click to level up" text in-game.  I dunno why but I can't.

 

Anyway, later after I fiddle with the game I got an instant CTD as soon I started a new game or reloaded a gamesave, but I could launch the game.  So I simple reinstalled everything and now it is working as it should.

 

 

 

This is little off-topic, but I just want to share my observations of Oblivion and the game is VERY sensitive to changes, even with small changes, the game freaks out completely and give the player a CTD whenever the game feels for it. :realmad:
