Compatibility

While compatibility is always a concern with any modding endeavor, in this case it is also kind of a moot point. Anything designed around the waterfront areas at this point in the games existence will have numerous mod conflicts. I am taking great pains to minimize conflicts. This is intended to be a standalone mod. However, I am a realist and want it to also be relatively easy to patch and integrate with mods such as Better Cities and Open Cities Reborn. So as things progress I am constantly doing comparison checks against those mods.

 

Yeah... about that. You're going to hate me. You've seen what Anvil will look like for Better Cities' next release, but I haven't shown you Bravil yet, or Leyawiin. Your attempts to maximise compatibilty with these two Better Cities based on the existing release is probably a waste of your time. I'll PM you a link to the current WIP files.

Yep just read the PM. I still don't hate you. BC will look great after this. Heck maybe I should just make Imperial Shipyards a BC addon instead. Then compatibility is much less of an issue.

OK #3 is one that I haven't found before. Thanks! i think for now at least I have plenty of resources to monkey around with. Now to figure out how and where to put them to good use.

Check author's permission here about converting resources.  A few modders allow converting resources while others don't allow it.

All of Dongle's resources are free to use, I'm not sure about Cyborg's though as I couldn't find any information at all relating to permissions.

Talking about cannons, i remember one made by Phitt that actually shot cannon balls

 

Cant find the mod itself, just this  YouTube video

 

Just as a curiosity, because Phitt mentioned at the time that, for some reason, the cannon only worked in interiors.

(and Phitt was very good with nifs - if he did not find a solution, it was a hard one indeed) 

 

The video is a faked exterior built in an interior cell

I found this mod by Dark Soul and there is similar mod, which is based on the original mod and Nexus have both mods.

 

The naval guard need some pirates to hunt down or the player can become a pirate, well hire them of course just what you do in the Thief's Den DLC.
