      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

What’s OBSE Test Plugin? Get rid of P1DKeyChain - it’s buggy and you don’t need it with Darnified or DarkUId DarN. Don’t forget to rebuild your Bashed Patch each time you make a change to your load order. You might find the errors go away once you remove the key chain mod.

I suggest removing it as Oblivion XP and other mods test for it already. Testing for OBSE can be tricky and you need to be careful how you do it.

Yeah as soon as a script hangs, it stops all other scripts from running. Ob XP’s scripts haven’t changed in years so they aren’t the cause of the errors. I’ve investigated these before and I think it was Arthmoor that explained the issue.

I did not know that.  Thanks for informing me.

I am not sure if it is a general issue or it is happening only to me but when I use the wizard to install Oblivion XP via Wrye Bash, no matter what option I choose when I am asked if the cap level be at 50 or 100, I see in the .ini file that the value remains 50 and therefore I cannot advance beyond level 50 if I do not change it manually. Does anyone else experience this?

It could be an error with the wizard. There seem to be some issues with the recent versions of Wrye Bash. I recommend backing up your Ob XP ini file and copying the changes over to the new one. Run the wizard to install, but don’t customize the ini.

As I recall it, there is a second option to the cap level and that was meant to be unlimited, which is 100 to 200 or was it just 200.

I picked the 200 option for a cap level.
