Trypticon

Recommended Posts

Name: Trypticon

Description: Trypticon is a floating orb of dark glass. Underneath the surface, a smoke-like substance seems to swirl, normally gray but changing colour to reflect his mood and as a form of communication. In addition, it also forms different patterns and moves at different speeds in response to outside stimuli, and can be used to interpret Trypticon's emotions. The rest of the interior seems to be simply black, shiny like a liquid under the outer shell, and to an untrained eye the shell and the contents appear one and the same, the smoke seeming to run over the surface of the orb.

In personality, Trypticon is generally quite jovial, friendly and welcoming. He enjoys conversing with other beings, and is employed in this capacity as a staff member of the Inn - though he also carries out other tasks such as delivering food or beverages when Dorothy, Drubbin and Temper are not enough to meet the rate of demand. His voice is a strange electronic one, somewhat on the high side of the register. He is very adept at working emotion into this voice, and when he is talking his other methods of communicating emotion rarely are noticed.

Trypticon has few special powers, as the rest of the staff, though he can sense people's surface emotions through a combination of pheromone detection and EM field fluctuations, allowing him to avoid patrons who are likely to be offensive in nature. Aside from that, he can pick things up and move them around somehow, almost as if using telekinesis, hence how he is able to transport dishes and drinks.

Until recently, Trypticon has not been seen in the Inn, as he got lost in the 'underground' portions of the Inn many moons ago. As such, he is likely to be more fragile than usual, until he regains his confidence in talking with patrons. Even he is unaware of how long he spent flying through the unformed lower levels, but it was long enough that most beings would have been driven insane.

He also has a habit of quietly humming to himself - picked up long ago before he was lost underground - when not in other's company, or when in a companionable silence.

Uhm...think that covers it for now.

Oh dear. He's shiny.

When Dove and Krahe get back, this...could be a problem.
