Name: Brianna

Race: Human, Caucasian

Gender: Female

Age: Sixteen.

Description:

Brianna stands 5'7" tall and is athletically built. She has wavy brown hair that reaches to her shoulders and hazel eyes. At first site most people guess her to be about five of six years older than she actually is, a notion she does nothing to disabuse them of, though she will tell the truth if asked. Brianna is attractive and when she smiles there are hints of beauty that might be exposed if she bothered to try.

She dresses almost exclusively in black and never wears anything too loose that might catch on a window latch, or something. She has an eight pointed star tattooed in black ink on her right shoulder.

History:

Up until the age of six Brianna was a pretty much normal little girl who lived in a small village in the South of Kayasan. That changed when she witnessed he mother's brutal murder. She was never the same again. She spent four years in an orphanage in Phelan, the nearest city to her home. At age ten she'd had enough of the draconian, regimented lifestyle of the establishment and the tyrannical rule of the matron - she ran away.

She managed to to survive on the streets of Phelan, first as a begging urchin, then a pickpocket. She joined the Anarchists, one of the more prominent Phelan gangs, at fourteen and wears their insignia on her shoulder. She soon made a name for herself within the organisation as one of the most talented young cat burglars around. The majority of the gang know her only as Shade, she'd be the first to admit that its cheesy as hell, but its also the kind of shit that the Phelan underworld respects - so she puts up with it.

That went pretty well for a year until she chose to rob the wrong person; for all her ability she was unable to bypass the magical wards of Captain Kyle Vitsiv. To all appearances Vitsiv was an ordinary Captain in the Kayasan military - so no reason for his home to be guarded by Wards cast by the Kayasan High Magister himself, right, wrong. While Vitsiv holds the public rank of Captain, he secretly holds the position of Colonel of the Underguard - the secret police of the Kingdom of Kayasan. He offered Brianna a choice, rot in prison or work for him.

For the past year Brianna has operated as an informant within the Anarchist Gang and has proven extremely talented at the subterfuge and deception require to maintain her cover. Only recently she, based on her good work, has she been upgraded to permanent agent of the Underguard.

Personality & Behaviour

Brianna presents a personality that is lively, thrill-seeking and often a little reckless. Underneath that fa?ade is a calm, tightly controlled young woman; she smiles often, but it rarely reaches her eyes. Further under that is the scared little girl who listened to her mother scream as she was gutted - Brianna didn't break then, didn't make so much as a squeak, and has rarely failed to hold her nerve since.

Knowledge & Abilities

Stealth. She's very good at it. Like really, very good. You know that talent batman has for vanishing the moment you aren't giving him your fullest attention? Yeah, she does that - very useful talent in a cat burglar. She's also a natural athlete -also very useful.

Education was never something Brianna took very seriously and after escaping the orphanage hasn't ever sought any further academic learning. She is literate both linguistically and mathematically, but not particularly talented at either. She does however possess and keen intelligence that allows her to sum up situations very quickly, think on her feet and react decisively.

Brianna can talk quickly when she has to, something she rarely needed as a genuine member of the Gang, but has had to rely on a few times since joining the Underguard. Also, she likes sarcasm.

Brianna's athleticism and coordination make an able fighter. She's done a fairly good job of teaching herself to fight open handed and with knives - however she's never had any real weapon training and knows that without the element of surprise she is outmatched by most trained fighters. All things considered Brianna would much rather talk her way out of something than fight her way out (if, of course, disappearing behind the nearest street lamp isn't an option that is.)

Never in a million years would Brianna call herself a mage (or wizard or witch or sorcerer or.... you get the picture) she does however know one very useful trick, something she's always been able to do. Brianna can create flashes of incandescent light than stun those too close to her. At a stretch she can manage three or four flares in intervals of a few minutes. It has saved her on a few occasions.

Lastly, but most certainly not least: Brianna has a nearly inhuman pain threshold. On one of her first burglaries she was caught and to escape she needed to scale three stories of outside brick wall with a knife through her forearm - it didn't phase her. A negative result of this is that from a physical standpoint she has next to no instinctive sense of self preservation - she has to constantly remind herself that it is not okay to just let the fucking dart trap hit her in the shoulder so she can get on with the job... amongst other things...

O.o

I like.

(Another stealth character. Heh.)

Does she actually feel the pain, and ignore it? Just out of curiosity, as the whole take-a-dart-in-the-shoulder thing makes her almost sound like she's got that CIPA disease...

Not CIPA. She's aware of the sensation, it just doesn't register as pain in the same way as normal people... if you push her hard enough there is a point when she starts to feel the pain, but its damn hard to do. Things that would be debilitating to most people are the things she grits her teeth and pushes through.

Taking a dart in the shoulder sure as hell wouldn't be comfortable, but she'd be more worried about trying to explain how it got there than she would be about the pain.

Cara: Huh. Interesting. Another person who's going to ask the same fucking questions. Whatever.

Aradhel: I don't like having this many assassin-types around. *eyes bio suspiciously*

Lirien: [Lirien out. Forwarding address of "Cyrodiil: Wherever Dove drags me"]
