Gregory "Frog" Graves

Recommended Posts

Name: Gregory "Frog" Graves

Age: 8

Gender: Male

"Occupation": Lost Boy

World: Neverland

Background:

Like most of the Lost Boys, Gregory never knew his family, doesn't even remember the slightest reminiscent telltale scent, or sound of any of his parents. There's no special tale about how he ended up in Neverland, no magical story about how fairies rescued him from the clutches of a bad situation, and whisked him away to that special place between yesterday and tomorrow. He was just a boy, who ended up, stranded on a strange land after a tidal wave ripped his father's ship to pieces. Lost, afraid, and alone... with nothing but his stuffed frog that managed to survive the wreckage. He spent his first few nights in Neverland, hungry and alone, constantly at odds with his fear of the dark, and spirits he could see. Not to mention the nightmares he continued to have after being stranded.

He was found by Tootles, of all people, who was playing a game of hide and seek with the other Lost Boys. And nicknamed called him Frog, because of the stuffed frog he always carried around. And after a small test of courage, which, Frog, promptly failed due to his fear of the dark; Tootles brought him before Peter, as a 'prisoner' of sorts. It wasn't long before Peter gave him a test of his own, to sneak aboard a pirate ship and steal a golden cup from Captain Jim Hook himself. For this task, he was given enough food to last him a full day, a slingshot, with no less then ten stones to use as he pleases, as well as firmly demanding he not come back until it's done.

It was The Twins who saw him off, making sure he got to the shore safe enough before leaving him promptly on his own. The first few hours were the hardest, it took Frog near an hour to keep himself from crying. He knew he probably couldn't do this alone, but if he was to be accepted by the Lost Boys. He had too. Or he'd be alone, forever...

Suffice it to say, he did manage to get the cup, and bring it back to Peter. Who, had long since forgotten about the task he'd sent the boy on in the first place. Though, the cup was pretty, and he accepted it as a gift, allowing "Frog" to stay on as Lost Boy. There was many adventures to be had, following that, and as time went on Frog became quite adept at using a slingshot using it for more then just annoying the random pirate that happened upon them. He even got a chance to meet Tiger Lily, though he never did understand why Peter liked her so much.

It wasn't until Peter became fascinated with the idea of Mothers, did things start getting strange. He would often leave the boys to their own devices and be gone for days on end. Then he returned, with her. There was something about her, that made Frog nervous, the idea, that she was brought there to be a mother to them, which, while her presence did make him feel important, something about the whole ordeal just felt wrong. Weren't they here to have fun? To play, and cause problems for the pirates? Why did they need someone else to tell them what to do?

It was then, Frog decided to strike out on his own. He said his goodbyes to the other Lost Boys, but not to Peter. It wasn't like he'd be missed anyway. Packing his trusty slingshot, his favorite hat, and coat, and of course his stuffed frog.

He left. He's not sure how he ended up infront of that Inn, mere days later.
