      Orphan Attachments   07/31/2018

I have been doing some housekeeping lately and I've noticed that I had a lot of orphaned attachments. Attachments get orphaned when the PM or post is deleted without removing the attachment first. Deleting a PM or post does not delete the attachment and the file or image remain on the server. I'd like to ask all members to go through their attachments and delete any attachments you don't need anymore or those that have been orphaned. Where can I get a list of my attachments? Click on your display name in the upper right corner of the forums and pick "My Attachments" from the drop-down list. How can I tell an attachment is orphaned? If the PM has been deleted, you'll see a message like this in your attachment list: Unfortunately there is no message if the post has been deleted, so please check your old posts. We do purge old birthday threads every once in a while. Also some hosted projects have been shut down, so you may have orphaned attachments on one of those locations. Thanks!

I would go in and bang on stuff. It won’t like the loud noise and would probably leave. The snakes we have here take off as soon as you get near them. I don’t have a lot of experience with snakes though.

I can't even go in there, I really hate snakes. :P

I'll look at contacting animal control today and see if they can help since I don't know what kind of snake it is. If they can't help, maybe they'll be able to point me to someone who can. :)

Haha.  Well Florida does have some venomous snakes.  And then there's the ones not indigenous but released pets.

Not too long ago there was a story of a lady in an Outback in South Carolina (if memory serves) that got bitten by a Copperhead.  Right there in the restaurant; sitting at her table, eating food.

Damn snakes! They come here, they sit at our tables, they eat our food!

Oh, GIMP 2.10 has been released. They're still getting the builds together for the various platforms so watch the site. This one improves a lot of things, most notably implementing better multithreading support and a dark color scheme.

How do ships in science fiction series not run into planets when they decide to travel faster than the speed of light? Or asteroid fields? That scene in Star Wars made no sense! The Rick's would have pierced the hull, depressurizing it, and sucking them all out! We would have had a vacuum sealed, bearskin rug!
